    Hello!

I am a massive Ursula Le Guin fan, and Always Coming Home is my favorite of her books. Your illustrations are a big part of my love of it – they were so impactful to my understanding of the book’s world, I cannot imagine reading it without them.

I was thinking of getting a tattoo to commemorate my love of the work (and of science fiction writing in general), and wanted to ask for permission to get one of your illustrations tattooed. Specifically, either the ceremonial jar (the curves on it are so elegant!) or the ink well.

Let me know. And thank you for providing such beautiful drawings for the book!

    Best,
    James

      Hi James!
Thank you for reaching out! You are not the first person to ask about getting a tattoo from one of the ACH images. Yes, it is fine with me.
I do appreciate your asking, if only to let me know that you like the work enough to live with it forever! 🙂
ACH was written well before its time, I think. I am glad that Ursula’s great work seems to be getting new audience recently.
      Again, thanks, and all best!

I just finished this book for the first time and I wanted to say that the artwork throughout this text is simply stunning. You really managed to bring Le Guin’s work to life in a way I haven’t seen before. As an arborist and amateur botanist (and a northern CA resident!) I particularly loved the plant life illustrations peppered throughout. Thank you for your contribution to Always Coming Home!!!

Thank you for your enthusiasm for my illustrations for ACH, Tyler. I was lucky enough to be able to collect plant specimens from the area to work with. Kesh is a very inspiring place. Thanks for visiting!
